Breakers and power loss
Repeated breaker trips, partial power loss, a dead circuit or power that fails intermittently should be diagnosed rather than repeatedly reset.
Electrical service calls
PTX handles the smaller electrical jobs that are difficult to describe until an electrician investigates them: breakers that trip, partial power loss, failed lighting, damaged devices, fan replacement and equipment that has stopped receiving power.

01
Repeated breaker trips, partial power loss, a dead circuit or power that fails intermittently should be diagnosed rather than repeatedly reset.
PTX troubleshoots failed fixtures, LED drivers, dimmers, occupancy sensors, timers, photocells and common-area lighting controls.
Loose, damaged, discoloured or non-working devices may indicate a device failure, connection problem or circuit issue that requires testing.
We assess electrical supply and controls serving bathroom fans, ceiling fans, baseboard heating, pumps, gates and supported mechanical equipment, then coordinate when the fault belongs to another trade.
Panel concerns, damaged breakers, labelling, surge protection and capacity questions may begin as a service call and become a defined repair or upgrade scope.
Replacement light fixtures, bathroom and hood fans, ceiling fans, exterior walkway lights, additional outlets, dedicated circuits and other contained improvements are welcome when the existing system, access and permitting path support the work.
02
Use the request form for a failed light, broken switch, planned equipment connection, additional outlet or another non-urgent repair.
Call when breakers repeatedly trip, important building equipment has lost power, several areas are flickering or an electrical condition is quickly worsening.
For smoke, arcing, active overheating, fire or immediate danger, keep people clear and call 911 first. Then call PTX for 24-hour emergency phone response and dispatch.
03
Tell us what stopped working, what you see, hear or smell, and when the problem began. You do not need to diagnose it yourself.
For managed properties, PTX confirms the site contact, suite or common-area access, approval limits and resident instructions.
The electrician tests the affected equipment and circuit, addresses immediate electrical risk and explains the practical repair path.
Authorized work is completed where site conditions and materials allow. PTX records completed actions and identifies any follow-up assessment, estimate or planned project.
Questions
Sometimes, when the scope is already defined. Troubleshooting usually requires attendance because several faults can produce the same symptom.
Many contained repairs can be completed during the first visit when access, authorization and the correct material are available. Obsolete equipment, permits or coordinated shutdowns may require follow-up.
Yes, with appropriate authorization and access. Responsibility and required strata or property-management approval should be confirmed before attendance.
Yes. Safe photographs of the device, equipment label, affected area and panel directory can help. Never remove covers or approach damaged equipment to take a photo.
No. PTX provides 24-hour emergency phone response and dispatch; its Burnaby and New Westminster locations are not 24-hour walk-in offices.
