The need
The recorded scope was disconnections work involving the steam shower and sauna. The steam shower controls could not be disconnected because their wires were soldered to the circuit board. The thermostat wires also could not be removed because they ran through the stud wall, around the corner, to a device box containing the sauna controls.
PTX's approach
PTX completed the removals that could be carried out without disconnecting those embedded or soldered wires. The controller was wrapped with foam paper and taped. One pot light trim was removed, a temporary light bulb was installed for the shower, and one sauna light was disconnected and removed. The metal cage around the thermostat wire was also removed. Parts were placed in a premium zip lock bag and labelled 2026/09/14.
