Documented field work
Installation details and completed work

The need
The resident wanted changes to several exterior lights. The recorded recommendations included motion lights at the front door and beneath the carport’s back door, along with possible new lighting on two walkways. The completed work covered the two requested fixture replacements.
PTX’s approach
PTX reviewed the lighting recommendations with the resident at the house, then went to the hardware store and picked up two motion lights according to the requested style. This kept the fixture choice connected to what the resident had asked for rather than treating every recommendation as automatically approved work.
The recorded result
Two motion lights were installed. The records do not state that the additional walkway lights were installed, so those remain recommendations rather than completed work. No testing result or other performance outcome is recorded.
What this job helps another property owner consider
When planning exterior lighting changes, it can help to separate the fixtures you want replaced now from additional locations you may want to address later. In this example, the recorded work was limited to selecting and installing two motion lights, while other suggested lighting additions remained outside the completed scope.
