The need

The customer reported flickering lights and a circuit that had tripped. The recorded visit established that storm-related power fluctuations were affecting neighbours as well. PTX separately investigated the tripped circuit rather than treating both observations as the same issue.

PTX's approach

The investigation found one outlet that had been missed when the circuit was re-terminated. PTX added pigtails and re-terminated that outlet using a wrap-around method. The remaining outlets on the circuit were checked, and the panel legend was updated.

The recorded result

The storm-related flickering-light issue was recorded as resolved. The missed outlet termination was corrected, the remaining outlets were found to be pigtailed as intended, and the panel legend was updated. The source records this as completed electrical troubleshooting, not a panel upgrade.

What this job helps another property owner consider

When lights flicker and a circuit trips, the symptoms may need to be considered separately. This job shows the practical value of identifying the specific circuit, checking its outlets and documenting the circuit at the panel instead of assuming the issue requires a panel replacement.
