The need

The recorded scope was to complete multiple repairs. The work included items in the carport, bathrooms, bedrooms, mechanical room, laundry, kitchen, living room and outside areas. The property had several lights, outlets, cables, cameras, sensors and other electrical or connected equipment that needed to be removed, restored, disconnected or re-terminated.

PTX's approach

PTX worked through the listed areas item by item. The team removed a plugged-in wall light, a defective sensor light, cameras, coaxial cables, an alarm system and other wiring. They restored several lights to their original arrangement, fitted new bulbs, replaced a GFCI receptacle, installed a regular bulb and globe, installed a new doorbell button, mounted an outlet where a TV cabinet had been, and re-terminated the hot water tank connection. Some remaining cables and lights were verified as dead and identified as suitable to be cut off or abandoned. Extra work was held rather than completed without further instructions.

The recorded result

The listed work was completed on October 6, 2026. The recorded materials included a 4100K non-dimmable LED bulb, a 15A GFCI receptacle, a round blank cover plate and miscellaneous materials. The job record also notes that some cables and lights remained, with those items verified as dead and able to be safely cut off or abandoned.

What this job helps another property owner consider

When a property has several disconnected lights, outlets, cameras or cables, it can help to have the items reviewed as one documented scope. This job shows the value of separating completed repairs from extra work that remains on hold, and of recording which remaining cables and lights were verified as dead instead of treating every visible wire as the same issue.
