The need: bathroom lights and fan were not working
The main bathroom had no working lights or fan. Four switches were removed for inspection, and the connection on the neutral had a melted marrette with damaged wires. The other bathroom issue involved two lights above the shower that were flickering.
PTX's approach: inspect the connections and repair the recorded faults
The breaker was turned off before the main bathroom connection was re-spliced using copper-aluminum marrettes and copper pigtails. Three switches that were in rough shape were disconnected and removed, then three new switches were installed. In the master bathroom, the trims were removed and the existing non-dimmable bulbs were replaced with two dimmable bulbs. One trim broke after it was accidentally dropped, so PTX returned on October 13 to remove the damaged trim and install two Reno lights.
The recorded result
After the main bathroom connection and switches were repaired, the power was turned back on and the recorded work notes state that everything was working properly. The two master bathroom lights were also recorded as working properly after the bulb replacement. PTX later completed the pot light trim repair at no charge for that time and material.
